Overlapping Memories
I’ve been obsessed with memories lately, how subjective and purposeful they are toward shaping our futures. They link very selective events to a kind of story, or narrative that's important to us. This helps us feel connected to these events, like saving a picture, except a picture is a full recall. The picture makes clear these moments, these fragments become stored with no context . This changes the way we experience these memories, it changes the way we see our future moments. Overlapping memories attempts to piece these fragments while also mimicking how they are perceived in my head, overlapped, mixed, and unclear.
